Ligament Correction Taping on the LCL

This video from Sam Medina shows you how to tape a ligament correction technique on the LCL.

For this application you will need a 9inch and a 5inch piece of tape. Place the knee in a 25-30 degree flexion. Take the 5 inch strip with 80% stretch and apply it over the ligament. With zero stretch tape down both anchors. Always remember to follow the rule of the thirds: if you will use one third over a therapeutic area, there must also be one third on each side for the anchors. Now anchor the 9 inch strip posteriorly inferiorly to the vastus lateralis. Pass over the 5 inch strip with 30% stretch and anchor at the tibia.
